Finvest – Family Environment Deletion Request

At Finvest, we respect your privacy and your control over your data.
If you wish to permanently delete your Family Environment and all associated data, you may submit a deletion request using the instructions below.
What Will Be Deleted
When a deletion request is processed, the following will be permanently removed from our systems:

The entire Family Environment
-
All financial data and history
-
Budgets
-
Categories
-
Transactions
-
Members
-
Memberships
-
Associated account data
This action is irreversible.
Important
Finvest operates using a Family Environment structure.
Deletion does not remove only a single user profile — it permanently deletes the entire Family Environment and all related data.
If multiple members are connected to the same Family Environment, all associated data will be removed.
Every user of the app has multiple data delete options
1️⃣ Immediate Full Family Deletion (Head Permission Required)
If you have Head permissions, you can permanently delete the entire Family Environment directly from within the Finvest app:

Open the Finvest app

Navigate to Account Settings
-
Select Delete Family Environment
-
Confirm deletion
This action:
-
Permanently deletes the entire Family Environment
-
Removes all financial history
-
Deletes budgets, categories, transactions
-
Deletes all members and memberships
-
Removes all associated account data
Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
2️⃣ Member Removal (If You Are Not the Head)
If you are a member of a Family Environment but do not have Head permissions, you may request that the Head remove you from the Family.
When you are removed from a Family Environment:

Your personal profile within that Family is deleted

Your activity history within that Family is deleted

Your associated data and permissions within that Family are removed
If you wish to leave or be removed, please contact your Family Head directly within the app.
3️⃣ Deletion by Email (If You Cannot Access the App or Are the Head)
If you:

Cannot access the app, or
-
Are the Head and wish to delete the entire Family Environment, or
-
Need assistance with account-related deletion
You may send a deletion request to:

The email address associated with your Finvest account
-
The name of the Family Environment (if known)

The subject line: "Finvest [Family]/[Member] Deletion Request"
For security purposes, deletion requests must be sent from the email address associated with the account.
Requests are reviewed and processed within 7 business days.
Data Retention After Deletion
After deletion of a family:

All Family Environment data is permanently removed from active systems
-
Minimal records may be retained if required by applicable law (e.g., fraud prevention or regulatory compliance)

Retained data, if any, is not used for operational purposes
After deletion of a member from a family:
- All member's data, history, authentication data, membership details permanently deleted.
